We need your help

We need your help

Hello. I am Olena Kovalova and I am from Ukraine.

Let me tell you my story.

At 24.02.2022 my life was divided into BEFORE and AFTER, just like the lives of all Ukrainians.

During the first few months of the war, many of us were just trying to survive and keep our families alive without even thinking about what would happen next.

In order to save my children from the daily bombardment of Kyiv, we were forced to leave our homes and seek shelter in a safe place. We survived. Life is much stronger than any of war! So, the main project of my and my husband’s lives - Our medical center “Step by Step” for children with child cerebral palsy, genetic issues and another disease – survived too and even restored its work.

Continuously rehabilitation is the chance for the life for most of such children, so we have no right to stop. Before the war, a significant part of such costs was covered by state programs so many families with children with special needs had the opportunity to get high-quality rehabilitation in our center.

Now this opportunity is almost gone as social funding was reduced and family budgets have decreased significantly. Unfortunately, the financial reserves of our centre are almost exhausted also. So, our yang patient, who spent years fighting with cerebral palsy, now losing their achievements: ability to walk, to play and even to talk. They are losing their hope for active life, for free communication and education.

That’s the reason I beg you for support as amount at the rate of 175 000 dollars, can help to continue courses for our patients. This amount is enough for more than 150 courses of rehabilitation in our center. More than 150 children with special needs will keep their chances for the future.

Me and my yang patients need your support very much.

We believe, the world will respond and help us to stand and continue project of our life- to help children with special needs to follow their dreams step by step.
